Bath College, Hospitality & Training Catering Facilities, Bath

JOA Role: Project Management – RIBA Stages 2-7
Project Scope: The project comprised the creation of a state-of-the-art hospitality catering kitchen and a training kitchen in the centre of Bath serving the Riverside Enterprise Zone and the relocation of existing student services office. The new facilities were created through the reconfiguration and refurbishment of the ground floor of the College’s newly constructed (2011) Roper building and adjoining Macaulay building to the rear. The commercial production kitchen facility comprised 40-50 covers and a separate lounge /bar. The training kitchen comprised 16 student workstations, 1 DDA student workstation and 1 teacher work-station, and occupies an area of circa 135 m2, with an additional floor area of circa 20 m2 allocated to cold and dry food/equipment storage.
